Eviction Resistance Kanturk, Cork

Anti-Eviction Taskforce -

Well done to Independent Resistance and Anti-Eviction Ireland who supported the O’Sullivans in Cork today, United we Stand.
Independent Resistance and Anti-Eviction Ireland (AEI) supporters joined others today at Claire and Martin O’Sullivan’s house in Kanturk Co. Cork to resist the threat by the Sheriff to evict them from their home.  Colmán Etchingham (Wicklow… AEI) and Noel Walsh (Kilkenny AEI) studied the O’Sullivan’s documents and communicated with the sheriff’s office and despatched letters to the sheriff’s office and the solicitors for START mortgages.  We are confident that there is no legal basis for the attempted eviction. For the moment, however, a network of activists, extending from the O’Sullivan’s local community through the Kanturk and Mallow region   Cork and Munster generally will ensure that there is no immediate threat and that Martin, Claire, and their children, will remain in their home.

Well Done to the defender’s of Anti-Eviction’s. their is a way to solve this problem and IT IS NOT EVICTION’S. Greedy, Greedy, Unscrupulous Banker’s and USELESS POLITICIAN’S are destroying the fabric of Irish Society with the speed of a TORNADO. Another hefty austerity budget is on it’s way in 4 week’s which will send further dissastrous blow to our lives and our economy. We are sinking like the Titanic with NO RESCUER’S but OURSELVES.

  2. Diane Denizen September 17, 2013 at 1:10 pm

That is absolutely true Anna. The politicians are ‘I’m alright Jack-offs’, they don’t have to care about us and its clear that they don’t. The people have to take responsibility, because the government won’t.

  3. Anna Livia. September 17, 2013 at 1:20 pm

This can’t go on Diane, these are our people, their human being’s with family’s. Diane, spread the word about NOT VOTING FOR THESE PARASITE POLITICIANS, BOYCOTT ANY FUTURE ELECTION’S UNLESS WE GET CONTRACT’S FROM THEM ON ALL FUTURE PROMISES THEY WILL MAKE COMING UP TO THE ELECTION’S AND A FURTHER PROMISE TO “STOP THESE EVICTIONS”. We have power, LET’S USE IT NOW.

  4. Diane Denizen September 17, 2013 at 9:47 pm

Been at it Anna, but in my circle of friends its preaching to the converted, other than that people don’t want to hear the truth, this is the difficulty.

  5. Anna Livia. September 18, 2013 at 12:50 pm

Don’t give up, I won’t. The government depend’s on us THROWING IN THE TOWEL.Not anymore Diane, enough is enough. Their is far to much suffering in our country to allow these people to continue. the pain they are causing will reach far into the future if we don’t call a halt.

  6. Diane Denizen September 19, 2013 at 8:58 am

Indeed! These ‘boots on the ground’ operations are the way to go, we out number them and in the end it is always a numbers game.

If these fuckers won’t pay their mortgage, they shouldn’t get to keep the house. Otherwise, why should anybody pay back anything they owe?

You guys haven’t got a clue what justice is. I’m off to borrow money for a Ferrari - will you idiots stop them repossessing it when I don’t pay the loan back?

    • louistheguy September 25, 2013 at 10:20 am

Jack, as I understand it from READING the article they have tried to repay the loan, at a lessor amount, I didnt see anywhere quoted that they refused to pay. “Martin (36) and Claire (40) O’Sullivan face eviction despite offering to make reduced repayments to their sub-prime mortgage lender”
Therefore it would appear to be a young family in distress, willing to pay something to remain at home. Is that wrong Jack? I agree that if they refused to pay anything then that is a different matter, but they havent. Therefore Jack (I presume by your tone that “your alright”) what I get the feeling of is, families currently under huge stress not being given any leeway in payment restructuring which is then pushing people onto the welfare ladder, which further burdens our country, beholdens the state to borrow more from the “markets” to fund the increasing welfare programme, (unless they drastically cut it - and thats planned btw when enough are on it)and enslaves us all, you included, further down the road. Wake up Jack, if indeed you are Jack, and not some paid for troll, working for the corrupt system, that will one day knock on your door. But Hey, you were only doing your job ! Right? Yours sincerely LTG

The guy got no dole because he was means tested and found to have means. He borrowed against his house to speculate on a business. He lost. And whoever heard of a company refusing money? They could have paid their 400 Euros if they wanted, but presumably wanted Start to accept ONLY 400 in repayments, which of course they didn’t agree to.

They are telling only half the story, as usual in these cases. They should get the fuck out of the house they are trying to steal and rent a house, which they could easily do for the 400 we know they can pay.

There are too many freeloaders in this country, from these changers all the way up to Sean Fitzpatrick and Sean Quinn - all of them trying to put their hands in other people’s pockets and whining about how it’s not their fault.

        • louistheguy September 25, 2013 at 11:27 am

where is all the evidence of this then, or are these your assumptions. ?ltg

          • Jack September 25, 2013 at 11:38 am

The evidence is knowing that the role for the self-employed is means tested. It’s in the newspapers that he borrowed against the house for his business, straight from the horse’s mouth. The evidence that you can rent for 400 per month around Kanturk is on Daft or My home.

These people need to rent, go down the bankruptcy or insolvency route I’d they can’t pay their debts, and start again with a clean slate. They don’t deserve a free house any more than I deserve my free Ferrari. There are terms of thousands of first time buyers currently paying rent who would love to buy the houses blocked up by freeloaders who won’t pay their way.

Apologies for typos, predictive text not great for these comments.

          • louistheguy September 25, 2013 at 1:31 pm

I still cant see the point that they didnt want to pay, yes I see various media reports, and how accurate are they usually, but they wanted to pay 400 per month, presumably off the debt, why shouldnt they pay 400 off their debt than go bankrupt and pay nothing and then pay 400 dead money to rent possibly to the same lender in all irony. So its a moot point, they wanted to pay 400 regardless if the lender deemed it acceptable, and also whether he was means tested says little, self employed people are rendered under much more suspiciously silly means testing questions, ie. a self employed person in ireland, self employed for 1-40 years is usually not eligble for benefits, or cetainly too many anyways, yet someone off an aeroplane qualifies for everything immediately. The point here is not of racial discrimination but one of relevence. How can a tax payer paying tax for X number of years be ineligible whilst someone who has paid nothing be fully eligble (apart from obvious EU laws rule). That therefore implies that the means testing is not quite balanced. So its not a fair guide stick. He also borrowed for his business, from what I can ascertain was he paying his business debts and trying to salvage his business and income? Now I do accept 100% that if they paid nothing and were being in anyway false about their disclosure then that is wrong. That also has repercussions for the genuine cases, of which there are many and in that case I would agree they should not be allowed to keep their home, and yes there would be an outcry of people and a certain increase of people who can but wont bother paying their debts which then only leads to a much more if at all possible immoral society. ltg

Louis, you appear to be arguing that people who don’t pay their mortgages should be allowed stay in ‘their’ property. You also suggest that rent is ‘dead money’ (a very dangerous cliché).

So if a renter loses his job and decides that, instead of paying the 1500 per month their contract says they must pay, they only want to pay 400, should they be allowed rent the house indefinitely? Will these protesters come and support them too if the landlord wants to evict them? I mean, why should they pay 1500 in dead money to a landlord?

    • louistheguy September 25, 2013 at 4:23 pm

no im saying if they cant pay 1500 cos of genuine circumstances some conditions may be arranged to leave them in their home. If there is blagarding then out. Dead money is in this context as it is implied against the 400 in paying down a debt against money going to a rental property most likely owned by a bank. So dont twist my words and suggest for me, I am not for freeloaders I am for genuine families in suffering, of which there are a great many at present. I just dont wish for the true agenda (agenda 21) to allow the mass transfer of wealth to the banks upon the suffering of the innocent. All this and yet you still havent managed to mention the fraud of the money system, which in reality has been mis sold to all of us. Now that is the crux of the problem. LTG

And what of the banker’s and the so called regulator who deliberately partook in pre-meditated entrapment of all mortgage borrower’s. They are nothing but parasites. They manipulate the stock market’s and in so doing are the destroyer’s of the world economy and the perpetrator’s of untold hardship around the world and they get off scott free, where’s the justice in that. they are nothing short of Financial Terrorist’s. Look what’s happening with J.P. Morgan. the biggest gangster among them all. He won’t be brought to court or made pay for all the harm he has done. No, the more of a Financial Terrorist you are THE BETTER YOU ARE TREATED. THEIR IS NO JUSTICE FOR THE ORDINARY MANIPULATED.. MAN ONLY HARRASSMENT AND TORMENT. Eviction’s in Ireland are deep in our history with the british, we have not or ever will forget, we do not wish to see this again from more PARASITES.

      Touche!

    • Jack September 25, 2013 at 5:39 pm

Just on a point of information, JP Morgan died in 1913 so he’s unlikely to have to answer any questions about the property bubble.

Do you think that the people who invested their life savings - sometimes hundreds of thousands of euros - in Irish bank shares should also get a refund from the taxpayer? They worked hard, paid taxes on their earnings, and put what they had left aside to pay for their old age. So surely these people should also get billions of euros from the taxpayer to repay their lost savings?

  10. Anna Livia September 25, 2013 at 5:51 pm

Not the Man J.P. MORGAN, THE COMPANY J.P. MORGAN. Parasites, all of them. The dollar is in serious trouble at the present time, so maybe justice afterall will be done, through the Bitcoin and the Brick countries. The Chinese are no longer trading oil prices through the dollar, and neither should Europe. this might help to stop the ROT in Bank’s around the world.

    • Jack September 25, 2013 at 5:53 pm

I was confused, because you said:
“Look what’s happening with J.P. Morgan. the biggest gangster among them all. He won’t be brought to court or made pay for all the harm he has done.”
‘He’ usually refers to a person, not a company.

So what about taxpayer compensation for all the shareholders of Irish banks, the same ones who were fooled by same the bankers you say fooled mortgage holders? Will you fight for them to have their life savings paid back to them?

      • louistheguy September 25, 2013 at 6:46 pm

well point in fact it too was stolen, as they crashed the banks deliberately did they not? Has any banks crashed where you live? All part of the transfer of wealth scam and destruction of the middle classes. Its a long spirally arguement Jack, one that Im thinking you are really not interested in concluding so I for one am going to say Good Evening to you or should I say ” Goede navond” - LTG

        • Jack September 25, 2013 at 6:55 pm

Louis, I’ve simply engaged what what people have said and have made a few points that perhaps people don’t want to think about. Several banks collapsed where I am, as I’m sure you will know as you obviously follow the news.

I can’t get a clear answer on whether people the many people who lost their pensions in Ireland should get compensation from the taxpayer, seeing as they are in a very similar (or worse) situation than the people who are not paying their mortgages. The difference is that that almost nobody has been evicted for not paying their mortgage*, while NOTHING has been done to help people who lost their pensions and life savings due to the bank collapse.

          * (over 100,000 people in 90+ days arrears, but only about 200 cases where banks repossessed on foot of a court order - so about one fifth of one percent)

  11. Anna Livia September 25, 2013 at 11:19 pm

NO DOUBT THE PARASITE BANKER’S INVESTED THE MONIES OF THE UNFORTUNATE PEOPLE YOU SPEAK OF INTO CORRUPT HEDGE FUNDS AND UNFAVOURABLE BOND’S AND SUCH LIKE. I would not allow any banker to control even my PIGGYBANK. Bitcoin and the Brick countries will get rid of the need to have bank’s. The governor general of the central bank is responsible to those unfortunate people, they should sue him for reckless investing by the bank’s he is supposed to control. They Loaned recklessly and invested recklessly while the governor general turned the other way. Sue Him.
